Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are AGGRAND fertilizers more expensive to use than most chemical fertilizers?

A. No. In many cases AGGRAND fertilizers are less expensive to use per season than chemical fertilizers.

Q. Can I use AGGRAND fertilizers on all types of plants?

A. AGGRAND fertilizers work great on all fruits, vegetables, flowers, lawns, trees, shrubs and even houseplants.

Q. AGGRAND natural fertilizers have a lower NPK grade than chemical fertilizers. Does this mean they are less effective than chemical fertilizers?

A. Not at all. In fact, tests demonstrate that AGGRAND products stimulate the soil microbial activity that helps process nutrients, making them more available to plants. Plant nutrient efficiency can be very low with many chemical fertilizers and the rest becomes run-off that can contaminate surface and groundwater.
Q. Why should I stop using my usual brand of fertilizer and start using AGGRAND fertilizer?

A. Our tests show that AGGRAND fertilizer out-performs other fertilizers. AGGRAND fertilizers are ideal for all vegetables, fruits, flowers, lawns, trees, shrubs and houseplants and do not cause the environmental concerns associated with chemical fertilizers.

Wildlife Food Plot Formula  - Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3

The Power of Food Plots

Just like humans, animals are healthier and feel better when they eat nutrient-rich foods. When wild animals are offered a food source that provides greater protein levels, they will favor that food source over others. That’s what makes food plots so powerful. Proper seed selection coupled with effective soil preparation greatly increases protein levels over natural forage. AGGRAND Natural Wildlife Food Plot Formula helps boost nutrient levels, including protein providing the primary, secondary and micro-nutrients plants need to flourish. Improved habitat and easy access to succulent, nutrient-rich food will help attract more wild game and help grow larger, healthier animals.

Corn: AGGRAND User Gets Record Yield

Versatile, convenient, effective. AGGRAND Natural fertilizers are organically certified liquid nourishment for commercial and private growers of grains, vegetables and flowers.

Farmer Richard Ward of Seaman, Ohio uses a combination of AGGRAND 4-3-3 and AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime to get the best, tastiest and biggest corn crops.

Ward has used AGGRAND 4-3-3 and AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime for more than seven years on a variety of crops with great success.

Richard Ward"I've been farming my entire life and I’ve never experienced the consistently impressive results I’ve had
with AGGRAND 4-3-3 and AGGRAND Natural Liquid
Lime. It exceeds all of my expectations.”

Ward faced many of the pitfalls common to farmers in the 2007 growing season. To begin with, he planted his corn late. The late planting was followed almost immediately by a lot of rain that led to unusually high temperatures for his area in Ohio.

During the hot spell, Ward used a higher concentrate of AGGRAND 4-3-3 and AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime because he knew he only had time to fertilize once. Using a 200 gallon spray tank mixed with 4 gallons of 4-3-3 and 4 gallons of liquid lime he fertilized the five acres of corn.

“I only needed to fertilize once,” Ward said. “The corn never stopped growing.” By the Fourth of July the corn was knee high. The third week of July it was chest high and by the first week of August the corn was over his head. The corn tasseled in the first and second week of September and was matured (denting) by the third to fourth week of that month.

"These cobs are as big around as soda pop cans and are 12 to 14 inches long,” Ward said. “The yield was great because there were so many kernels on each cob."

Alfalfa: AGGRAND 4-3-3 Increases Yields and Profits

apples
Why should you use AGGRAND™ Liquid Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3? To improve your bottom line.

Dealer John Gore, Bedford, Ind., saw an increase in the number of bales of hay this past summer that raised his income by nearly $3,000. Gore bales and sells his hay to local farmers.

“Producing large quantities of high quality hay can often be difficult, but I’m convinced that the addition of AGGRAND™ Liquid Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3 has made it much more profi table,” Gore said. “Plus the improved plant health, stronger roots, and better drought tolerance when moisture is an issue all add up to a long list of reasons to use more AGGRAND.”

In late summer, Gore cut an 11-acre field of alfalfa and grass mixture – a field that in the past has produced 400 to 500 50-pound bales. “I knew it was going to be good but I was thrilled when it made 979 bales,” he said.

Although the season brought plenty of rainfall, Gore said past experience convinces him commercial fertilizer couldn’t come close to that kind of production.

Gore was especially happy when he did the math on his increased hay yield. He charges $6 per bale. “After using AGGRAND on just this one cutting I produced more than 23,950 pounds more hay,” Gore said. “That means I’ll earn an extra $2,874. When you figure that the cost of the AGGRAND was much less than the commercial fertilizer which is more than $100 an acre in our area, along with the increased production, it is certainly a winning program.”

“ I knew it was going to be good but I was
thrilled when it made 979 bales . . . it is
certainly a winning program”
– Dealer John Gore

Gore followed directions from AGGRAND literature that will help his production remain high for next year. “I applied AGGRAND 4-3-3 about 10 days after the last cutting at the rate of one-and-a-half gallons of 4-3-3 in 20 gallons of water per acre using large flood type nozzles,” he said.

Gore plans to use AGGRAND on more of his fields next year to continue to increase his yields and his profits.

AGGRAND natural fertilizers not only cost significantly less than chemical fertilizers, they improve soil conditions by providing necessary nutrients that cause organisms and microorganisms to re-establish themselves and greatly increase their numbers, accelerating the natural process that increases fertility, nutrient availability and water-holding capacity in the soil.

Using AGGRAND to Grow Garlic

Using AGGRAND to Grow Garlic

Plant in the fall 4 to 6 weeks before the first HARD frost, in soil enriched with compost or organic matter.

Feed with AGGRAND 0-0-8 Kelp and Sulfate of Potash and 0-12-0 Natural Liquid Bonemeal at planting: 2 oz/gallon 0-0-8 and 5 oz/gallon 0-12-0. Repeat in early spring when greening begins.

Feed with 3 oz/gallon AGGRAND 4-3-3 Liquid Natural Fertilizer, and 2 oz/gallon 0-0-8 once every two weeks until flower stalks have uncurled.

Garlic tops, called scapes, are delicious when harvested when they have just curled. Remove the bud and chop into salads, and even blend into pesto. It is much milder than the garlic bulbs themselves. Harvesting the scapes can result in larger garlic bulbs later on.

Water garlic regularly – about one inch per week. Be sure to mulch, mulch, mulch to keep weed competition down.

Discontinue watering about two weeks before harvest and harvest when about 1⁄2 the leaves are brown or have died back. There should be 5 or 6 green leaves remaining to insure that there are enough papery bulb wrappers to protect the bulb in storage.

Dig up the bulbs carefully, loosening the soil under them with a garden fork, perhaps, and air dry in a cool, dry place on window screens, or tie two bulbs together by the stems and hang over the garage rafters.

Using AGGRAND to Grow Apples

Using AGGRAND to Grow Apples

Apples respond to foliar and soil applications of AGGRAND fertilizers. Peak foliar responses are obtained on perennial crops such as apples by applying AGGRAND fertilizers after the leaves open during pre-bloom, post-bloom, and fruit set. Too much N affects fruit quality and shelf life. While nitrogen (N) is an important nutrient in apple production, apple trees store N from season to season. If leaves are chlorotic after they open in spring then this condition is a symptom of an N deficiency, which may limit production. Adjust the N status of this crop by changing the foliar spray and soil application rates, type of fertilizer applied and the number of applications.

Foliar Applications:

Mix 1 to 2 gallons of AGGRAND 4-3-3 Natural Fertilizer in 50-100 gallons of water (depending on tree density, spray equipment, and canopy volume). Spray on one acre after the leaves open. After bloom, repeat the AGGRAND 4-3-3 application if the trees require more N.

Mix 2 to 4 quarts of AGGRAND 0-0-8 Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash with the same volume of water and apply after fruit set.

Repeat the second application 3 to 4 weeks before final harvest.

Rates vary according to soil fertility and other inputs used. Lower dilution rates are more effective than higher dilution rates. Two or three applications may be more effective than one heavy application. If other constraints only allow one trip over the field, then do not exceed a 3 percent dilution rate (3 gallons of AGGRAND to 100 gallons of water).

The addition of a biodegradable surfactant increases uptake by increasing adhesion to the leaf surface. Apply AGGRAND in the early morning or late evening. Do not apply before or after rainfall or irrigation. On standard field sprayers, use turbo flood jet nozzles when applying AGGRAND to reduce clogging.

If bitter pit is a problem then add 1 to 2 gallons of AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime to the spray tank to supply additional calcium.

To reduce susceptibility to attack of insects and disease causing organisms, apply 1 to 2 quarts of AGGRAND 0-0-8 Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash when signs of infestation first become apparent. AGGRAND added to the spray tank reduces the pesticide needed to obtain effective control by 1/3 to 1/2. Some growers find AGGRAND applications alone eliminate the need for pesticide applications when they are applied at the same time as pesticides.

Soil Applications:

Mix 3 gallons of AGGRAND 4-3-3 in 20 to 30 gallons of water. Apply solution to one acre (apply spring and fall if soil is hard and low in organic matter).
